My name is Kevin Malvaez and this is my home page. Welcome. I am a 19 year old college
student attending the South Texas College. In this page I will cover architecture in my local area and talk about my favorite
style of art. But first off, of course, I will begin by talking a little about myself. Who is Kevin Malvaez? Well, it all
began 19 years ago.
My birthday was on June 29th, 1990. My parents moved to McAllen from Mexico City hoping
to start a new life here in the US. We lived in simple apartments, nothing too fancy first. I lived with my 2 older brothers
Einar and Eric. When I was around the age of 3, we finally moved to the house I still currently live in. It was a small house
but just big enough, in my opinion. In front of my house was Jackson Elementry where I went to school my first years. After
elementry I went to Cathey Middle School, there I was in Orchestra and played the violin. Here is where my interest in technology
really began to form. It all started years in the past when I was infatuated with video games. I loved sitting in front of
a computer for hours playing my games or in front of a television screen playing Super Mario World. When I was in middle school,
a Technology class was offered and there I learned I definently wanted to deal with them the rest of my life. Then came around
high school. The one I attended was The Science Academy of South Texas. There my freshman year I took computer science I,
here is were I finally made my decision for what I wanted to do in the future. I wanted to make video games. Here I learned
to program a little tank, which in the end of the class was the best I might add. The little tank was my first programing
of anything relating to a video game.
Time went by, I took my first art class in sophmore year and I aced the class, the teacher
said I had talent in the world of art. It was also around the same time I picked up a hobby one of my friends introduced me
to, it was Warhammer 40,000. Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature game where you buy little plastic and metallic figures, assemble
them, and paint them. Once you have a large amount of them you can play with them on a tabletop with other people in a wargame.I
assembled many figures, and painted, I relaly liked it. Even before this I have found myself designing certain things with
creative tools games come with such as "Map Editors" and Modified games like Warcraft 3 or Starcraft with them. Around the
end of the year I researched about the gaming industry and now I have my final plan, I want to be a Game Designer. So far
this has been the story of my life, other then I graduated 2008 at the Science Academy of South Texas, and I met a special
someone around the end of my graduation who im proud to say I still am with, now only time will beable to tell me what will
happen next.
I love the color green, its my favorite, and I love any kind of food. Name it, I've tried
seafood, loved it. I've tried many mexican dishes, loved it. I've tried lots of italian foods also (I have family from my
mother's side there), and loved it all. I also am obsessed with japanese and chinese cuisine. All in all, I love many kinds
of foods, but in the end my favorite dish is a nice and bloody rare steak. I also love comedy and obscenely action packed
and violent movies. Science fiction is also a favorite for me, being in books, and movies, including games. My favorite kind
of music is rock, I love a lot of classics but recently I've been falling for the heavier side of rock in it's metal category.
I love metal and a specific category called "melodic metal" from a band called Norther from finland. My favorite band though
is Linkin Park. Other then that I have many friends, my favorites being Rick Herrera, Mauricio Gutierrez, Raul Estrada, and
Roly Serna. We are always hanging out and I enjoy their company. In the end if you meet me, youll probably find that I am
a very hardcore geek, maybe even a nerd since I play dungeons and dragons type games, but if you meet me, youll find me very
friendly.
Below is the world that drives my artistic talent. I love the world of art but the new forms, video games, movies, all
these things that I find as art are my loves. I have Games Workshop to thank for my final choice. Go to the link and find
out the world I've fallen in love with. Because in the universe of the 41st millenium, there is only war.
